Why give your testimony

 Apostle Paul said this…

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defence to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15)

Personal testimonies are not just about how God saved someone from a life of sin, it’s also about how he transforms us on a daily basis.

Our reasons for giving a testimony are to glorify God and not ourselves.

  1. Ask God to guide your thoughts and written words.
  2. Imagine you are writing your testimony to one person. Your writing will flow better and it will be personal.
  3. By using “I” and “Me” you will be sharing with your readers instead of preaching at them.
  4. Always bear in mind you are telling your personal story of what God has done for you.
  5. Always bear in mind your testimony may be a tool to bring someone to or back to christ.
  6. Finally, give God all the glory.
